I’ve went to church for 17 years of my life…
Only been a believer for 2 and a half
at some point in my life to be able to say to the Jesus:
I am where I am because I followed You here.
Tired of living with idols
trading one for another
pursuing things that only satisfy me temporarily
I just need God.
Not his creation.
oooo
I like this one.
Personally, I’ve never had an impossible made possible situation (probably because I live in Plano) so I can’t necessarily attest to that (hopefully one day I’ll be in that situation).
But for all unselfish prayers, God does answer them, just not always in the way you expected. God knows what’s best for you, he listens, and he has way better plans for you than anyone could ever think of.
Maybe you do think you have a better plan… but you don’t have a universe ;D
So if you pray unselfishly for something and it does turn out the way you expected. Good for you! If it’s for the Glory and Kingdom of God, then praise God for your answered prayer. Just don’t expect God to work the same way all the time. God isn’t confined to a pattern.
But if your prayers are for selfish intent and He hands you over to them. Then you’re in for some serious trials my friend.
James 4:3 and James 1:6-7
God does not answer prayers of selfishness or from people who don’t believe in the Power of God, and for other reasons in the Bible.
(But I still believe that if God hands you over to your sinful desires, you’re screwed)
So no, prayers aren’t “coincidental” because God is never surprised by anything. He already planned it all out for you. So have fun dwelling in Him.
But I will say this, the more you are transformed by Him and the more your desires become His desires. Your prayer life is going to be unbelievable.
My bad, anonymous.

give me a tough question that refute Christian belief?
Most atheists on the internet give the same question (i.e good God who allows evil, seeing is believing)
I want a newer question that I can chew on.
I hate it when people try to shelter other believers from what could be a good way to grow
challenging beliefs is quite Biblical:
James 1:3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.
Anything?
Can’t be your Comforter if you’re comfortable
So why are we striving towards comfort and prosperity?
Oh yea, because we’re dumbasses who pursue things of this world rather than the eternal things.
When Believers strive to become comfortable middle to high-class americans.
Seriously.
When we read the Bible, and all we come up with is: I want to live an comfortable non-sacrificing life with no pain and no sorrow, only happiness.

I see the works of Paul, Stephen, and the other apostles all getting their butts tortured and persecuted just desperately getting the word out.
And here we are, thinking about retirement plan
Do our lives even fit in the Bible?
Probably not.
Do you even believe in the power of the Gospel?
Let’s be honest to ourselves
The Mission has not ended yet.
(clarification: I know middle-high class people aren’t all damned to hell, Scripture says it’s hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven…very hard, but not impossible)
A lot of people reading this will agree, then go away doing nothing about it
Do you believe? Prove it
how about instead us of pursuing the world,
pursue Christ

end rant.
It’s pretty easy
These are your goals every sunday (and other days you go to church)
1. Don’t cuss
2. Act really humble (don’t worry you can be prideful, just hide it well)
3. Get involved!
4. Memorize some Bible verses
5. Pray one minute or more when chosen to do so (be sure to include other people’s prayer requests)
6. Be nice!
7. When it’s every other day besides your church days, do whatever the hell you want!
Pros of this game
+approval of others
+power in the church
+comfort
cons
-no relationship with Christ
Wanna play?
yea?
Have fun while it lasts
no?
Why are you reading this, go pursue God.
Legalism is stupid, isn’t it.
